I use regular 'ole crimp connectors and they work fine. I even checked the output before and after with no noticeable voltage difference. I agree that a bad 02 sensor will not keep the car from starting. As a matter of fact..the sensor output isn't even used by the ecu for the first couple minutes, until it warms up.
