But off course I couldn't evaluate the driving teeth on the crank. That said, my cams "V" notch were off about 1/8 inch, both the same way. Switching teeth would have put it 1/8 in. off the other way. My tensioner (new style) was out about 16mm. The tensioner contact shoe and the pad on top of the valve cover were unworn. I'm putting it all back together and will have a run report this weekend. In a perfect world I would have changed the chain and driving gear but the whole thing was pretty quiet and ran OK before the head gasket went, so I'm hoping dumb luck will play a role here....
Good luck,
John
