I swapped all 4 injectors, together with another rail and put new o-rings on - no difference at all. I put brand new NGK spark plugs in just a few days ago (even though I had just replaced them 2,000 miles ago). O2 sensor checks out (and wouldn't be an issue anyway because this is a cold start problem primarily - the O2 sensor is ignored until it warms up). Plug wires are on correctly, although that does make me want to double check that I have the distributor body clocked appropriately (thanks). I thought of the TB gasket - it "looks" okay from the outside - might need closer inspection. Can you elaborate on "Sometimes areas outside of the hoses fail (like the recirculation solenoid or interior lines"? This reintroduces a topic (I considered it but dismissed it) - the air distribution switch (is this what you mean by recirc. solenoid) has a leak in two of the switch positions (but NOT the off position, which is where I always put it before I turn the car off). Is it possible that a vacuum leak eminating from this switch can make its way through the vacuum canister and disrupt the mixture ratio in the intake manifold? Thanks for the input ...
