We looked at a number of options as a winter car for this year (to lessen the load on the 1993). One of them was the 9-3. It was an interesting comparison driving the 2 back to back (got a good test drive in a 2001 where I could let it go a little)... the 9-3 was faster (our 1993 is non-turbo), a lot faster actually, but the suspension was not as good. There's a bit more body roll + lack of precision than a c900, especially at speed, and there's a decent amount of torque steer as well. All in all, a great car, very practical, and a lot of fun to drive, really liked it a lot (especially vs other brands), but I learned to greater appreciate the nuances of the c900 handling...
oh, and in the end, we got a second c900 as a winter beater... can't beat that!
