It was predictable, but no less upsetting, my 1993 Saab 900s failed smog today for NO (PPM).
Looking at the cert from 2 years ago, it was just under. Today, just over. Here are the numbers:
2008:
15mph: 604 Max:701
25mph: 700 Max:730
2010:
15mph: 833 Max:701
25mph: 879 Max:730
Just called a local Saab mech and he suggested the engine was probably running lean and suspected vacuum leak. I'm taking it in on Friday to heck the vacuum lines.
Ive only done regular maint. in the last 2 years. Oil changes, trans. fluid changes (auto box) and air filters.
I've noticed my MPG is about 20mpg with 50/50 mix of city/hwy. Anyone have any other suggestions on what to check?
oh, don't think it's related, but I did replace the back box of the exhaust system a while ago.
