Which pioneer head did you try?

The nakamichi stuff, even going way back, sounds great, but it's hard to match an external amp and eq-flattening tech like AutoEQ. I put up with the pioneer's lame user interface and lighting scheme just to have the audio quality of the preamp and dsp. Currently my 9000 has a DEH-P880PRS head, a JL A6450 amp, Speakers are Infinity 42.9i in the dash, clarion SRR6985 in the back, and a clarion 10" sub. Bluetooth hands-free, ipod and whatnot via the head.
