DET,
if the issue still persists - and I'm sure it will - then it is of the brake hardware nature just like it said in Bentley. A couple of thoughts:
- The new rear calipers. Indeed? Brand new ATE or SAAB original rear calipers? Not some GP, NK - or whatever it goes for in US - stuff? Not some rebuilds? Are you quite positive on that?
- Full brake system has been bled following Bentley - that's not enough. The correct answer is "brake system has been being fully DOT4-bled following Bentley annually" (ok, the variant "every two years" also counts).
- Does it swerve when braking with the handbrake?
- Here in Mordor we do brake drum test when doing MOT inspection which clearly shows if there are any front-rear or left-right braking differences. Don't elfs have to do the same there over the seas?
- No, it isn't the suspension thing unless there's a broken arm or a disconnected rod or a disintegrated spring or such. I take it as some hydraulic (most probably) or mechanical (like bad brake pads or disc or caliper internal thing; less probable) failure on the RR caliper: you brake, because of the single hydraulic line which drives both the rear calipers and hydraulic RR failure all (or the most of) the rear-axle braking force goes to the RL wheel which locks up, ABS modulates the rear axle but it isn't that responsive because of the new rear brakes combined performance and thus ABS sees some strange input from the rear wheel speed sensors (for some reason they don't draw the same picture which they draw when braking on an icy road) and lights up the indicator bulb, the rear axle finally works off the ABS hydraulic modulation and ABS is finally happy with the speed input from the rear wheels and turns off the indicator light. You need to do the brake drum test to confirm this theory and after it is confirmed you'll need to check the hydraulic line from rear axle hose all the way to both of the rear calipers. If it isn't bent or damaged or flattened then it's the calipers. But once again: you've got to spend on the brake drum test first before going the the theory above.

Good luck,
Zig
