I was pretty sure you were going to say it was the dealer on Staten Island. As the previous thread post states, the seller always has a bunch of C900's for sale. All have generally the same description.....
"Engine is in Good Shape, does not smoke, does not leak, nice and quiet. We have performed Regular maintenance on this Engine. Gearbox feels Perfect, shifts without any problems, without delay, and without noise."
As I had mentioned earlier, I had the opportunity to test drive the 1988 C900 CV that the seller listed on Ebay a few months back. Looked great in the photos with an advertised 67K miles and from California. Let's just say that the test drive was frightening and the overall condition of the car was nowhere near what the pictures portrayed. We barely made it back to the lot as the brakes were failing etc. Left and never looked back.
Hopefully you bought it thorough Ebay so they can get involved to try to rectify the situation.
Sorry you are going through it......
