Read your post an feel compelled to point out that steering vibrations that are strictly speed related (as opposed to load related or direction related) are indicative of having a wheel out of balance. I'd suggest that you check for that first and be aware that a tire that is 50% or more worn can't usually be balanced reliably. If it's an out of balance problem the vibration will ONLY exist AT A SPECIFIC SPEED regardless of whether you are coasting downhill, climbing with heavy acceleration or cruising along level ground with light throttle. A bad inner driver/tripod will vibrate under load at nearly any speed.
