Funniest thing about that article is that Ford *does* like Dexcool. It's spec WSS-M97B44-D2 and was used on a number of cars, including my '03 XJR.

Regardless, solid article. What's on the table is the additive package and the core inhibitor tech. Some last longer than others. Some are more effective than others. None cool better than the others. None are the Best Perfect Coolant.
Saab changed coolant, what, three times? G48 -> Dexcool -> G30 (?). Saab and VW both switched AWAY from G48, Mercedes switched TO G48. VW switches coolants every 3-4 years or so. It's ridiculous.
