I would try one of the older independent Saab repair shop in your area....if there are any left. Most older shops will still have the R12 hoses for the vacuum machines if not the entire R12 only machine set up collecting dust somewhere in the shop.
Went thorough this recently with my 90' SPG. Had a local repair shop here in the DC area that specializes in muscle cars and older foreign make repair do the recharge with leftover, NOS R12 which is readily available on Craigslist or EBay. This particular shop bought a large amount of the 50 or so pound tanks years back which has served them well for those customers like myself who want to keep things stock.
While I assume you could just try refilling your compressor with the R12 you sources on EBay, the proper, safe and most reliable way to recharge the system is to pull a vacuum first.
Expect to pay a premium though and do not be surprised if it takes awhile to find someone that will do it. Again, call some older Saab or even Volvo repair shops in your area. Possibly check out the shops listed here on Saabnet!
Good luck!
