I have ordered the eEuroparts branded kit for clutch slave cylinder seal replacement noting that they claim this is an uprated quality kit. While I'm waiting for the kit, I'd like to take apart my three Saab OEM spares and see which is the best candidate for rebuilding.
But how to disassemble?
I've scoured this forum for instructions about how to disassemble the clutch slave cylinder. Found great advice and basic thoughts about rebuild or buy new.
The best I have found is this post:

It's not clear to me how this is done.
Found a good picture of disassembled unit.

Excellent picture but no instruction for disassembly seem vague. One person said that he was able to remove the cylinders from each other with his thumbs.

He must be Superman. Mine are frozen.
On the back, I note that there are four indentations which seem to indicate that you should use some Saab Special Tool (the three most hated words in my vocabulary...). Does this main aluminum cylinder screw out counter clockwise? Or does it just push out?
Can I squirt carb cleaner, brake cleaner, WD40, silicone, isopropyl, etc into the ports and perhaps it will free up the cylinders?
How do I do this, step by step, without damaging the slave cylinders?
BTW, these three are from previous clutch installations where I would replace everything, including functioning slave cylinders. So, these should be known good cylinders with gummed up and deteriorated seals. I should be able to get one of the three functioning and if not, the failed OEM one in the car might be rebuild-able since it failed catastrophically draining brake fluid in the driveway.
Now I just hope the uprated eEuroparts seal kit is not ProParts. I debated buying the OEM Saab version but hope their experience trumps my ignorance.
