Matt,
I have never posted before but I've got to tell you that when you post something that you did in your origional message didn't you think you would get some posts that might not share your view? (Kinda of like the Flag burning issue?) On another side note have you been on many SCCA winter events and not to bust your bubble, most are using Hakkapelita's or special spiked tires. You didn't mention that you were a racer or had any other proof of your claim that the tires "the F#$ing S%@K." Did the "F@#$%ng S#$@" all of the time or just in 2-3 feet of snow?

I have raced all over the north west in the winter in my Audi Quatro, which is better than most, and haven't seen any of my fellow Audis,VW's, Talons, or the others using your prided Dunlops. Even at the Idaho even when BMW sponsored it the tires they pushed weren't Dunlops. So your basis of comparison is that you got stuck in 2-3 feet of snow in the Hakkapleitas but not the Dunlops? Did you change over to the dunlops after your disgust with getting stuck in the snow to see if they were just that better? So to give a real comparison, and how many folks out there need to drive thru 3 feet of snow. Most businesses and schools close with that large amount of snow. To be honest most snow tires are good, but the Hakkapleitas are a good cheap reliable tire that many have used with success. Oh and Decaff might help.... Its just about tires here guys... lighten up.

Calvin
