Hi everyone,
I looked at a '97 Aero this past weekend. The seller claimed that it had a "rough idle," but when I got there it was clear that the car was running on 3 cylinders. FWIW, it starts right up and doesn't smoke. He claims to have changed the DI cassette and plugs recently without success. How should I proceed? I'm a little bit concerned about the car as is because it has a K&N filter and some type of aftermarket boost valve. It has about 100,000 miles. I've searched the forum and I can see that the misfire could be anything from badly gapped plugs to a burnt valve. I'm wondering if someone could give me a list of things to look for My family has a bunch of 9Ks and we've never had this problem.
Thanks a lot!
David
