Let's see...
*A new ECU to manage the engine/turbo
*A new APC system as Saabnut mentions
*A new engine so that the turbo doesn't wreck your high compression engine
*If not a new engine, at least re-build your current engine with new parts (I'm not sure which ones) to reduce your compression ratio to that on the turbo cars.
You see, these turbo engines have a compression ratio of about 8.5:1, while N/A cars have a different (higher) ratio (10:1). The turbo will increase charge pressure and, in a N/A engine, will cause knocking, which will wreck the engine pretty quickly. I suppose it's possible to run a turbo at very low pressure, but Saab put a lot of time and energy into making these engines... The difference between a Turbo and N/A engine is a lot more than the plumbing.
I think you'll find that this "cheap" project gets expensive when you end up buying a new engine... one that costs more than some engines with the car still attached.
Unless I'm missing something, you have a big project in front of you. If you're doing as a learning experience, then I say go for it! (Just don't fool yourself into thinking it'll save you a bunch of money)
