George, you're not listening to the warnings apparently.
Maybe that's a sign of an independent mind but they're right, your turbo-ized car won't last.
I'm currently looking at a 5 speed late model CSE I think I can get for around $500. Needs some work and parts but if you already have a 9000 you could pull what that car needs off yours.
Also as a backup I'm dickering with a guy with the same age car as the other, just a CS, but it also has a turbo and for some minor money can be given a faster car's brain. That car has more miles and needs more but will run me in the $250 range I think.
Both still stickered and basically sound, though the cheaper one has a little rust starting out behind the rear wheels.
Look around, make offers.
