Move the fuse/relay box huh? Hmmm, guess that's an option. The other option I'm looking at is there appears to be room between the washer reservoir and radiator but it would require fabricating a custom mounting bracket to put it there. Guess I could give my sheetmetal working skills a test. Also thought about seeing if I could remove the grill, install it in front of radiator and replace grill. Probably not a good idea since it would partially block air flow.
Did you notice any change in performance and/or mileage after installation? Are you also using Jacobs wires? I'm running totally stock boost so I'm planning on going to .040 gap and see what happens. My local shop installed NGK BCP6ES plugs about a 6 months ago. I think I'll go to 7s when they are ready for replacement though.
My average mileage (according to dash display) is now 25.1 MPG with a mix of city/hwy driving. Used to average over 26 MPG but that has gone down somewhat with age (224,000 miles). According to Jacobs claims, mileage should be close to 29 MPG. I believe that when I see it!
I also heard some reports that the hot spark tends to eat rotors and dist caps. Have you experienced this?
