I think you'll find the puller does a better job. Pushers are much less efficient at moving air. I ended up using a generic 12" slimline fan (Jegs #52131) because a 900T fan wouldn't quite fit my car. (Past collision damage means the rad is slightly closer to the engine than normal on my car.) I mounted it with the shroud right up close to the core and it's had no problem pulling the temperature down and keeping it there in high 80s weather. The 900T fan would probably move more air if you can get one, though. Both fans are a near-perfect fit on the 96 rad; the mounting tabs line up very nicely with the upper and lower core supports.
