Your site was a big help when I did mine. I did basically the same thing, but with a few differences:
- I didn't have a replacement timing cover, so I cut the timing cover nose "in situ", without removing it from the engine. It was a bit awkward that way, though, and the results aren't as pretty. If I ever have to pull the cover I'll clean it up a bit.
- I used a different fan.
- I had a thermoswitch installed in the radiator tank when I had the radiator re-cored, so I didn't have to cut the hose.
Oddly enough your site is the only one I've seen that said what size belt to use! Unfortunately it didn't help me too much, as my FLAPS doesn't carry DriveRight belts. I'm currently using a CarQuest 7385, which is 13/32" x 39-1/8". I can already see it's a bit long and I'm going to run out of adjustment range as it wears, though, so I'll have to get the next size down next time. I originally tried a 7385 (two sizes smaller) but it was too small to fit over the pulleys.
