thanks so much for the tip. I was so frustrated that I could not get it to work, I will try your suggestion. Its interesting that there is 12v coming from the din connector and that my amp has a 12v connection for the remote turn on lead and I can't get the amp to turn on.
I have never used a voltmeter before, can you explain to me how I will need to hook it up to test it. I assume that I will need connect the main power and ground wires to the amp first and then touch the voltmeter leads to each terminal on the amp at the same time (the main power terminal and the ground terminal)?
Thanks again for the tip, I was worried. BTW, the soldering on the din connector is definitely a pain. It's like surgery on a gnat. Do I need to worry about the mute pin on the DIN connector? Also, what did you do with the signal ground pin on the DIN connector?
Brice
