I used stainless tape around the exhaust just to hold it up in place and for road testing purposes, much more quiet although once it heated up got a bit stinky.
Pulled the radio, found that it is a replacement so the numbers don't match...lucky for me whoever sold it to the previous owner was kind enough to write the code on the top...radio now works, antenna is inop but motor runs, just need to replace the antenna (plastic toothed strip must be broken off) if it's the same as my '88 900s was.
After disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes to clear radio code, check engine light went off and stayed off until the tape melted enough on the exhaust and the pipe fell away, CEL back on. Oh well, going to The Saab Tree in Lake Zurich, IL (via Saabnet classifieds) to pick up new used exhaust on Wednesday.
Tightened up clamps on fuel pump hoses (they went through the metal under the rear seat to access fuel pump during R&R of said pump) seems to have cured the leaking fuel problem.
New wipers, topped off coolant, Mobil 1 and filter, new NGK's and air filter along with an AIC spray-shake-rattle and roll over the weekend. Ordered rotors and pads for the front, going to delve into the rear brakes, ABS/speed sensor and clock spring as funds allow and front seat covers, heater pads, headliner and visor clips needed interior-wise, pass fog light lense broken on exterior, valve cover gasket. The little things that when replaced piece by piece just to make this a great find even better.
Car runs like a champ and shifts like a dream...so no complaints.
