Well thanks again , Ron. However, still this is confusing. I sent you a PM. Just wanted to confirm if the 10w30 can be used at all in a 2000 9-3, OR if the conventional should never be put in the gearbox.
To make it more confusing, I just called the only saab dealer here, and they don't seem to carry mtf 0063. Apparently, it has been replaced by some Dexron 6? Not sure, but I guess I'm going to have to haul on over to the dealer in Jacksonville because all the searches are coming up as "synthetic only" for this transmission on the 2000 9-3. I'm just going to get 3 quarts though, because I don't even know what or how much is in there right now, and haven't even gotten the plugs off. Also, thanks for the reminder on the fill plug first, but I DID remember that this time. :) I've got all the plugs soaking with pb and liquid wrench now.
