Clay bar and oxidation?

Just got a beautiful '99 9-3 and it's time to take care of the finish. I don't have a garage or driveway so I'm probably just going to use Klasse All-in-One (as it appears to get a lot of good press here) and shoot for quick detailing in between.
Question is this: I'm considering a clay bar and I'm sure I need to do it regardless, but will claying help remove oxidation? The previous owner said she had it detailed last year but I didn't know if it would be wiser for me to have it professionally detailed once to remove oxidation and then clay it periodically, or if periodic claying in itself would help minimize oxidation. For that matter, how often do people clay?
Thanks
