That’s a risky one. The DIYers would probably do it if they had a real project on their hands, but the casual DIYer (such as myself) probably wouldn't at $99. The latest poll could provide a breakdown of the hardcore DIYers vs. the casual DIYer. I am not sure what my dealer charges for Tech II programming, but it can't be too much. It would be hard to find the right price point people would be willing to pony up to use it. Maybe make a poll out of it to see if there is real interest.

What would be really cool is for someone to reverse engineer the Tech II and make a software program that could be loaded on a PC. I bet they could sell that software for a decent amount -- if they combined it with a system like Maptune or something to change performance characteristics it would fly off the shelf to those who could afford it.
