The Tech-II has two PCMCIA card slots. The software that is booted to determines the functionality (GM-Saab and which version of the SW too). You can keep both cars installed boot to either slot. The rest of the components, as Anders said earlier, are the cables (and connector type) for the various years (and makes) of cars. I've seen SW for the older Chrysler and Ford with cables on the auction site but never had a reason to check it out.

The other thing to consider is liability. And I *really* hate that word and all of the mung behind it, but it's there and no getting around it. If someone rents the unit, and resets the SRS light to working (and it's really not) and gets in a crash and gets injured... you can fill in the blanks from here. Unfortunately you can say all you want to, but when something like this happens and the lawyers get ahold of it you will be in court.

I have the unit, use it, and use it on other's cars too, but I will not loan it out or reset stuff that is safety related to working unless I'm sure it's functional, too many issues.

Just my two cents.
