It wouldn't take long before it was broken. Just by looking at the interest from people here on the board wanting to take it apart to see what it looks like inside, LOL.
People keep asking about a list what it can do and I kind of giggle from all the suspicious remarks that we are a secret society that wont allow them in on the secret.
The list that keeps circulating here on the board is pretty big as it is, and other stuff that is changeable is of very little interest for the owner.
And each year of the Saabs have different options.
When it comes to light options, it is only three ways to program, but owners seems to beleive that the Tech 2 can create magic in excactly the way that that specific owner wants it (like only having right side illuminated ;o)).
The Tech 2 can also roll the mileage forward on the odometer, which comes in really handy when you want to lower the value of the car before you sell it, lol
Someone with a LOT of interest could sit down with all the Saab manuals and right down everything. Because it is not found in a handy little booklet, but strewn out in all the work shop manuals here and there.
The Tech 2 is only a help tool in finding problems, and a clumsy one at best. It doesn't give you live data per see, the signal is buffered so what you see on the screen is actually delayed.
That is not acceptable with todays glitching car problems, and a high speed lab scope is a must hooked up to the right wire.
