My sympathy to anyone trying to style a car for American tastes. I've been to several marketing focus groups and have heard the following ridiculous statements made by consumers:
- Gold badging must be available as an option
- I'll never buy a Toyota because their emblem looks like a sombrero
- The Nissan Sentra must be the fastest car of the group because it was equipped with tiger-skin seat covers and a speedo that went to 185mph.
Sheesh.
