My son is taking auto shop and he thought it would be fun to find an old car and get it into running shape. He's a senior and is leaving for college this coming fall. This car could possiblely be his mode of transportation in the comming year. I feel that bringing a car into good working shape would be a fun, rewarding and good learning experience. I want to spend around $1500. We're looking for a car that is easy to service and reliable by nature. I was thinking about something in the vein of an old BMW 2002. What do you guys think? Other sugggestions?
