Before you install your new drive make a bootable cd or dvd using Ghost, assuming you have a cd or dvd burner. This way you'll have a permanent back up of your drive (as of that time and date). Then disconnect your current hard drive and connect your new hard drive and boot from the discs that you created from ghost. Ghost will now install mostly everything from your old to your new hard drive. Your new drive will now be a copy of your old drive. After everything is up and running. Connect your old drive and make sure you set the jumper to slave. When you power up your new drive should be c:, cd or dvd d: and your old drive e:. You can then format your old drive or manually delete the files or folders that you don't want anymore. Keep in mind that your old files are still on the discs that you created on Ghost so you may want to format the drive to have the extra storage capacity. If you want to go to a RAID setup your motherboard must have a on board RAID controller or you'll have to install a RAID controller card. Basically the 2 types are: RAID 0 & RAID 1 (I forgot which is which). One will allow you to scatter a file over both drives and the other will save a file on both drives automatically backing up as you go; however if you get a virus or worm etc it will be on both drives but will help you if you have a hard drive (mechanical) failure.
