How much moisture is really in air that's used for tires? Are the thermodynamic properties REALLY that different? I'll try to find a psych chart & check. Seems like the moisture is at a sufficiently low partial pressure, that it's pretty much ideal-gas anyway. Just like the rest of the components of normal air.
Since MW of N2 is 28 & O2 is 32, are the molecule sizes really that much different?
Oxidation I can sorta see, but have you ever looked at your wheels & tires after they're dismounted? Corrosion on the wheel is much faster on the surfaces that are exposed to outside air. And deterioration of the rubber is much faster on the outside with UV & O3 exposure.
If its better to use N2, I'd really like to understand why.
