quite a few times i have poured a considerable amount of water from tires. usually on cars that had mysterious, occasional shake/shimmy problems.
remember that the air isn't just moved into the tire, it goes thru a compressor, and water can collect in a compressor pretty quickly if it's humid out.
worst culprit are the gas (not service) stations with the 25 cent air machines. i have seen then shoot a cloud or leave the tire valve dripping wet. that much water in a tire will make a difference.
for the record, i don't put nitrogen in my tires. not that anal. but i do see some theoretical advantages.
as far as helium, it is the smallest molecule (outer shell is filled, and it is monoatomic, unlike hydrogen) so it'll leak out very fast (days? not sure). as far as a weight advantage, the problem is not unsprung weight, but mass, and the reduction in weight would be miniscule at best.
UV does attack tires more than O2, but again, i have seen many wheels that were more corroded inside than out.
if someone charges you to 'upgrade' to N2 in your tires, walk away. especially if they demand you come back to get the 'winter nitrogen' out of there and put 'summer nitrogen' in. if you have a tank of it to run your tools at the racetrack, use it.
