The Gross pay is higher, but when I subtract 6% for mandatory pension contribution, subtract another 4% to 5% for mandatory health care premiums, I am already staring at a negative Net pay increase.
Now you can see my dilema. A +10% Net increase is a No Brainer.
I will be pouring over my current benefits booklet and prospective benefits booklet looking for differences both ways.
Commuting cost reductions will add 2% to 3% back into my Net, but income tax differences, sales tax differences, property tax differences, etc. may each be positives or negatives.
