We had complimentary basic OnStar for a year and I think the only time we used it was to take advantage of the 30 free minutes of talk-time. We decided not to renew our subscription and were told by the OnStar advisor that we can renew at any time at all in the future. So, if you need OnStar just in case you get lost, run out of gas, car gets stolen, you lock your keys in the car, etc., then you can just wait until you actually need the service and then you can press the magic blue button or call OnStar, renew your subscription, and get taken care of. Now if you like the airbag deployment alert feature, then you can't really wait until you have a wreck to renew. I have Bluetooth on my Titan and absolutely LOVE it. OnStar doesn't really serve a purpose for us on our GM-make, but I'm sure that would be different if we lived in a large city, drove a ton in the GM-make, etc. Anyway, just a few thoughts... Drive safely and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
