(1) Compromise is better than conflict.
(2) I'm not a real estate lawyer, and the rules vary from state to state, and maybe between cities and counties in the same state.
(3) The general rule I remember from school, quite some time ago, is that there are some things considered part of the land/building, so if you pay for a new stove an have it installed, unless you have a written agreement, it may not "belong" to you, if it becomes a "fixture."
(4) Our stove (our house) acts up sometimes -- its the timer, not the stove.
(5) If it's a gas stove malfunctioning, don't delay. Get it fixed. Gas stoves can explode.
