I got into Saabs because of my grandpa. He was a Saab mechanic in Coatesville. He sold everything from the 92 to early 900s. He eventually retired due to old age and the advent of computers in cars. He built 99s for my mother and her sister to drive back in their highschool days. He also built one for himself. He was in his 20s during the Great Depression so he learned to make do with what was on hand. That is why this car is wired with 2 conductor lamp cord and the headliner is held on with thumbtacks. The car is a 1977 Saab 99 (at least the body is). I intend to do a partial to full restoration on it when I get the money. Thankfully the expensive bits are in good shape and I have a garage full of spares. :)
