Back in 1978, just out of college. I had a high school buddy who's parents always had two Volvos - the older one usually had 150k or more. I was impressed how the Swedes built cars. I drove a couple of 242's and 244's but didn't like the body roll. Then I drove a 1976 Saab 99 and loved the handling. Bought it and in the winter of 1979 Milwaukee had it's all time record snow fall. Mutltiple 10" or more storms. No one had ever heard of a front wheel drive car but I never missed a day of driving. It also didn't hurt that when I gave this lovely coworker a ride home in one of the storms, she thought my car was really cool. We've been married 33 years now and she's driving our 2007 9-5 Aero. I'm in the 98 9000 CSE.
