Well the wife took the Jeep Grand Cherokee to have our baby seat checked (we have a 2 month old) and they told her the Jeep is one of the worst vehicles for baby seats. My wife is freaking out over it and I have to admit that I don't like how they rigged the seat to be safe...it is really pathetic that as nice of a car as the Jeep is it isn't very accomodating to small children. Heck - Despite being a 2000 model it doesn't have the seat tethers/anchors it is required to have! Anyway my Viggen is safe, but I am not giving that to the wife so I am going to look around at a few other options. I am looking for some input in possibly buying a Volvo 70XC. I really want the AWD so I am not considering the Saab Wagon (I may test drive one anyway). The Audi costs too much and I might look into the 3 series wagon. I have a few questions regarding the Volvo that maybe someone can help answer...
1) Does anyone know if I can put a baby seat in the middle and behind the passenger at the same time? How about three baby seats across the rear seat if I had to??
2) Reliability issues? Not sure about Volvo relability. No experience with Volvos - only Saabs.
3) Does anyone know of any incentives/rebates on the 70XC? I couldn't find any listed on Edmunds or other places.
4) 0-60 on the XC?
5) Best dealers to work with in Dallas?
Any input is appreciated! I also posted this on Swedespeed, but I would love to get the opinion of fellow saabers;)
