Yes our SAAB engines might not be pushed
to what is possible...
But here some numbers:
For a while F1 cars where using Turbo engines
(750Hp-830Hp in race trim and up to 1500Hp for
qualifying) for a single race they would need
only around 150Liters of fuel.
Now a V10 3.0L engine needs around 210-250 Liters
of fuel for the same race. Output is around 830Hp.
So yes Turbo engines are more efficient, Turbo
Diesel engines are also living proof for that.
