Enough with driving cars like you are a race car driver - - -if you want to drive like that take it to a track and pay to put your own life at risk. But please don't drive like that on roads with other people - - it is rather dumb and reflects poorly on ones overall intelligence.
I say make ESP standard with an on/off switch that work only under a certain speed.
Although a concern of mine is that people are abusing these devices by intentionally driving in a manner in which they feel protected by devices.
I am all for installing devices on cars that report speeding on public roads. You don't own the road and it is a privilege to drive - - drive like a fool and lose that right.
I really can care less if a car goes from 0 to 60 in 5.8 or 6.3 - - in the real world that doesn't really matter. It might be a way to sell more cars to people who have 'performance' problems of their own that they can't get a chip to fix but all in all I am shocked with the number of people who are just idiots when they are on the road.
