Go for the snows!

I'm in Toronto and while we have winters with few snowfalls and our streets are mostly wet or dry with snow coverign them very infrequently I still got snows for my 96 900. I feel that the Saab has TOO much torque to keep traction easily in snow and having real snow tires makes all the difference in the world.
So now whenever I think about going up north or out of the real city I don't even think twice about snow...I just go.
Also...if your snows make you 5% safer and less likely to crash...isn't that worth the cost compared to the cost of fixing your Saab and not having it for the time it takes to fix it?
