Read that web site and got curious. I was told by a DPS Trooper about the shoes being required. So I emailed the DPS and this is the answer I got back
"It is true that it is not illegal to not wear shoes while you're driving,
but it's certainly not a good idea. If you're involved in a wreck and have
to get out of the car suddenly, you're probably not going to be able to find your shoes and there will be lots of broken glass and metal lying around, just waiting to cut you."
Okay. I apologize for putting out the wrong stuff. But really, Airwalks??
