And if I get 250k miles I'll be quite happy. This whole oil thing reminds me of my 1998 BMW 328i. The car came with dino oil but a year later BMW switched to synthetic exclusively. I don't know if it was my dealers choice or BMW dictated it but they stopped carrying the dino stuff. So even the 'free' (paid for up front) oil changes came with synthetic. So I was putting synthetic in at intervals based on a car computer programmed for dino (about every 9k). I think the computer programmed for synthetic actually goes about 15k. The real question here is why Saab supposedly ships with one oil and then recommends another. But we've been there and we didn't come up with an answer.
