He (Nat) has his own castings poured, from high quality alum'm, so hsg is made much more solid. Carrier's life is much easier than bearing, but his carrier is a proven design. When I got a rebuild for my 83T about 8 yrs ago, he only had stronger replacement carriers, and I encouraged him to consider the brg upgrade too, and did some life calc'ns for him. FYI: brg info and size [ basic dyn rating, lbf ] est'd life change pre 89, M88048, 1.313 x 2.688 x .875 [ 12700 ] basis aft 89, M88649, 1.375 x 2.844 x 1.00 [ 14600 ] 1.6X ERIK'N, M88547, 1.313 x 2.875 x 1.15 [ 16200 ] 2.2X Load and life ratings vary with method, and are more for rough comparison here. posted by 207.69.24...
