Small radiator leak Posted by NCCaniac [Email] (#352) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NCCaniac) on Mon, 15 Nov 2010 08:15:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have noticed a small leak in my Sonett III radiator when it is parked. A small puddle, perhaps a few milliliters, forms under the right front corner of the radiator as you face the front of the car. Looking underneath it appears the fluid is seeping out around a seam on the bottom of the radiator at the corner (perhaps a weld starting to come loose?). That is where it is damp and appears to be where it is dripping. It does not drip continuously, but just seems to leak out that small puddle after driving and parking it.
Is this something to address with a radiator "stop leak" additive or perhaps some JB Weld on the seam? Or am I looking at a bigger issue?
