Check a couple of threads down, "Derek" had to fix his shift linkage as well. The only adjustment is to slide the shifter mechanism for or aft. This may, or may not help. Check all of the taper pins on either end of the universals in the shift linkage. If one of these has been replaced with a bolt or cotter pin, this is your likely shifter problem. This linkage will not tolerate slop in its' joints and you will have a hard (impossible) time with either your 2&4 or 1&3 shifts. Good luck with both issues. Let us know how they both work out, and what your fix was.
