I had *heard* that the oil life monitor had been recalibrated to give shorter change intervals - but I have no hard evidence that it has done so. In any rate, Ms. Jessica decided to pass on the '03 Sports Sedan (actually, Mrs. G forced the issue by offering her Oldsmobile Intrigue at trade-in value) With under 400 miles on the CV, it's a little soon to say what the estimated mileage 'till zero life will occur. Certainly my "one year" service flag will be set long before the the "zero oil life" service flag b/c it started counting down when the car was prepped in Trollhattan - in February, not in June when I picked up the car.
