I'd not discount Saab just yet...I just bought #5, an 06 Aero SS and love it. V6 Turbo and 6speed stick. Of our 5 Saabs, I would only characterize one as a lemon and it was a 1995 900. All the others were good performers and I had no regrets. Our '04 BMW X3 has been reliable, but trim is falling off of it or peeling for no reason and only 11,000 miles. Every car will have issues, but your '03 sounds like you got a bad one, and a first year model to boot. Check out what Saab has to offer and don't hold that lemon you got against the rest...they really are improved.
