Just to show that music is highly subjective, I find that I do not understand the rip on the '06 stereo sytem. Note my reference is the '06 Aero SC with the 300-watt system. I think it is pretty accurate. Won't work too well for head-bangers, or bass-heads, but has a decent front soundstage. If you listen to any home theater system or go to a live show, the sound isn't supposed to primarily come from the back - it's all in front, with reflected sound from the rear. I also find most Bose systems to be too muddy and boomy (haven't heard the Saab version). This isn't meant to slam anyone who doesn't agree, but everyone has their own taste.
Next thought is that if given the choice again, I might well have chosen the '07 SC 60th Anniversary. Love my Aero, but really like the combination of the Aero luxury and performance features with the more economical 2.0t engine.
Anyway, this is my first Saab as well - welcome to the club, and hope whichever you choose to be as enjoyable as I find mine!
