In 2003 the workforce at Trollhattan appeared mostly very young and mostly sober looking. The Saturn plant I visited in 1996 ish Spring Hill Tennesse had a much more mature workforce. It's amazing the lack of workers in a big plant, lotsa' automated processes and mostly empty control rooms.
Wasn't the last big revamp at Trollhattan just before the 9-5 in 1998ish? Isn't the Swedish paint process more involved than the Toyota process as in more layers and galvanized steel?
Is there such a thing as Swedish steel? It would seem the Saabs are built heavier or painted more thickly, or both.
BTW about that special tour, aren't you the guy they're guarding against?
