I just went through this 27 month lease and here are the numbers.

27 month, 12k miles

MSRP = $28,385
Residual = $19,585.65 (69%)
Cap Cost = $25,524
Lease Rate = 4.85% or .002020833

If you plug in these numbers you will get the $311.10 payment. You are putting $2,093 down to get the cap cost to the figure shown above. This means they are discounting the car about $768 dollars from the sticker. There isn't much markup on the Saab's but it looks like they sell the car for about $658 over invoice. You will also have to pay a $595 acquisition fee and first payment upfront. All this totals to $2999.10 and you still have to pay tag, title and dealer fees. Probably about $500 at most dealers.

I am surprised to see 2008's being discounted from sticker. I also notice that Edm*nds shows a $2500 cash to dealer marketing support. So, my guess is they are actually making $2500 + $658 off the deal.

I spoke to a sales manager and he confirmed what I wrote above and stated that this was a bare bones deal and they only make about $700 off the car. Any advice on how I can find out about this $2500 cash from Saab to the dealer?
